Audiobook “Radical Love” by Zachary Levi for Harper Collins

JUNE 2022 – At Sound Post Studios we just completed production of actor Zachary Levi’s audiobook ‘Radical Love – Learning To Accept Yourself and Others’ for Harper Collins. In his book Zach tells of his journey of mental health, intense family relationships and dysfunction, and personal and career ups and downs.

But there is much more to this book. Zach is a terrific storyteller and has a hard, compelling, and compassionate story to tell.

This is a great book and, I think, best experienced in Zach’s own voice. Put this one on your ‘listen to’ list.

You know Zach as DC Comic’s Shazam, Midge’s love interest Ben in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Disney’s Tangled, THOR Ragnorak, NBC’s ‘Chuck’ and countless voiceover and TV and movie roles.

Zach recorded in studios in LA. The editing and post production were completed at Sound Post Studios. So, how does a big star’s book get produced at our ‘little engine that could’ studio? Because we’re damn good. Experienced. Professional. Connected. Talent

We use Source Connect, an internet technology that lets Jim speak in his Seattle home studio and his voice comes out the speakers in the Sound Post control room. Audio magic. B Eerdmans, Zondervan, Brilliance Corporation, and more. Audio Magic? Contact us.

Author Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.

“When frustrated with an unresponsive child, a parent doesn’t declare, “You don’t love me.” Instead the parent asserts, “You are being disrespectful right now.” A parent needs to feel respected, especially during conflicts. When upset a child does not whine, “You don’t respect me.” Instead, a child pouts, “You don’t love me.” A child needs to feel loved, especially during disputes.

But here’s the rub: An unloved child (or teen) negatively reacts in a way that feels disrespectful to a parent. A disrespected parent negatively reacts in a way that feels unloving to the child.  This dynamic gives birth to the FAMILY CRAZY CYCLE.”

Rich in Scripture and practical application, these unique films point you to the freeing discovery that true beauty lies in the heart.

America’s Most Haunted

October 2012 – Sound Post worked with  FULVEW Productions to provide the sound design, music score, and mix of indie feature film America’s Most Haunted starring James KarenBrad Norman, and Brittany Risner.   The film’s score is composed by Greg Poltrock.

This is the fictional story of the ghost-hunting TV show “America’s Most Haunted.”  The AMH crew is not just trying to communicate with spirits, their plan is to kick them out.  Their methods may be questionable and their “proof” may not hold up to careful scrutiny, but their loyal audience loves the show – and they keep getting paid by their sponsors.  In this episode, the AMH crew comes across something new … a place that is actually haunted.

America’s Most Haunted is a horror/comedy that’s funnier than “Ghostbusters” and scarier than “Poltergeist” which all adds up to a good time in the theater!

Beautiful Prison

BASIC

Fall 2011 – Sound Post completed audio post production and mixing of the seven-part series ‘BASIC’ with pastor Francis Chan – produced by the Flannel Company.  This is a terrific short-film series for use by churches and bible study groups.  The soundtrack was produced by artist Brie Stoner and mixed at Sound Post.

Trends come and go in our culture and the church seems to follow.  BASIC is a seven-part series of short films that challenges us to reclaim the church as Scripture describes it to be.  This series speaks to those who have questions about the church and to those who may have lost interest in the church.

“If I only had this as my guide … if all I had was the Bible …and I was to read this book and then start a church, what would it look like?  Would it look like the thing that we’ve built here and all refer to as church? Or would it look radically different?”

Sacrifice

Spring 2011 – Actor Christian Slater came to Sound Post along with director Damian Lee to record ADR (dialogue replacement) for the film ‘Sacrifice.’

Dialogue replacement (sometimes called ‘dubbing‘) is a necessary step in the audio post production of a feature film.   Often the sound recorded on the set is noisy, not clear, or possibly the director wants to change, add, or replace an actor’s line.  Dialogue replacement is the process for making these changes.

At Sound Post we have recorded ADR with actor Edward Herrmann for ‘The Gilmore Girls,’ actor Patrick Muldoon for the film ‘Christmas Town,’ commercials, and many indie feature films.
